Review by John Silversmith: I purchased GSM to learn scales. What I found is that GSM does not have the option to display notes while playing scales; instead it displays degrees of scale. They have chosen money (so they can sell their fretboard trainer) over the importance of learning notes while learning scales. By omitting the option for notes GSM has stepped down as a scale trainer (scales have notes) into just a pattern trainer. We need actual notes in a scale trainer. It is for this reason I give GSM the lowest rating possible. (1/5 - 12-Jul-2007)
