Review by Mark: Way over-rated. Very poorly written users guide. Too much burde on the user to download other software to make Mechanic software start. Very limited capbility - can only handle one drive. No tech support -- phone number provided is fictitious. One job that is running has been going for over 24 hours. Crappy untested junk!

Review by Rick Ground: Hard Drive Mechanic would not run on my machine. Support is nearly nonexistant. The 30-day moneyback guarantee is also worthless - once you have paid, they don't respond.

Review by Robert Walraven: I'm not very computer savvy and my computer seems to almost always have some kind of problem. When my hard drive would no longer boot I purchased the Hard Drive Mechanic to try and repair it myself. At first, I couldn't repair my PC and thought the program didn't work. After another try, the Hard Drive Mechanic found FAT errors and partition table damage. Thank God that it fixed the problems automatically because I don't know what I'm doing.
The Drive Mechanic is guaranteed to work so I was going to just return it if I couldn't figure it out. Now that I know it works I am keeping it for next time I mess up my computer.

Review by adc: Actually I tried to use the Hard Drive Mechanic again to recover my drive and I am now able to boot up again. Every software I would run was crashing because of my hard drive errors.. (100% recovered now!)
Turns out to be worth every penny of the 69 dollars I paid.
