this is the worst program ever, you cannot uninstall it it pops up everytime you go on something else like msn e.tc and it is really aannoying and i just cant get rid of it!! i dont advise you to download it!!

The guys who've developed the program are complete MORONS! Here is what they've done on purpose: The trial pop-up only becomes invisible when the user closes the window and then shows itself again based on a two-minute timer (or so). When Windows is shutting down and the MSN Winks process gets a notification to exit, the process checks the registry and c:\Windows for msnlogm.exe. If the file or registry entry is deleted the process will recreate them.

For god sake somebody tell me how to get rid of this... I can't uninstall it ! There no NOTHING with msn content plus in add and remove programs i don't know what to do anymore!

Okay,i agree with Anon1000, but i have found a way to delete it without using safe mode. Once you have just started your computer try hurrying and looking for the files "Msn Import","msnlogsm" and "msnlogs" and delete them all before they have popped up,these files can be found by going to "My computer","Local Disk C/:" and Then click Windows and scroll down and these files will be located close to the bottom.It's very annoying when you try and end process when the file is still running because the file will keep popping up in task manager(ctrl+atl+del) so try this,i hope it works for you as it did for me!

I've tried everything, but i still can't get rid of it. I don't know what to do anymore. It's hopeless.

I had this problem too. It isn't a good program. It aren't nice avatars and nothing.

NOW here comes my solution for the computerwasting pop-up:

- Download Startup Control Panel (Google, click the first) and install it

- Run it

- Go to HKLM/Run and delete msnsyslog

- Delete all the files in the program files directory of MSN Avatar Creator

utter crap.

CTRL-ALT-DEl, ending process and then deleting files didn't work for me, as they restarted instantly. Safe mode seems the best option (press F8 on boot screen, and press again until you get screen asking how you want to start up windows, choose safe mode, then delete all files in C:\windows made by Msn content plus).

Better yet, don't download it.

hi all, i was a victim too.. made my life terrible with this awful product..anyway, when i first got these pop ups, it was before i read this forum, so, i have deleted all sort of exe files which had somethng to do with msn, but guess what, it didnt work..the first pop up still there and the second one came right after that, once you clicked on exit, the PAY THIS APP website appears.

anon1000 and krafty gave an excellent advise (thanks guys) and just to add on that, make sure you also delete a file call msnlogm after deleting msnappm.exe, or even MSNimport.exe...appm is the file that contains the application and msnimport is the 2nd pop up window, and msnlogm is the 1st pop up window. do this in safe mode, delete all msnlogm, msnimport.exe or in other words, you can tell because it will indicate MSN Content Plus as the company...

I just wanted to post this because I had no msnappm.exe file on my computer and was still getting the popup.; I am running XP and made the HUGE MISTAKE like many others and downloaded one of the MSN Content Plus products; I uninstalled the program and like everyone else, this popup saying I needed to register kept coming up on my screen;I searched and did not have msnappm.exe so I waited for the next popup. Next time popup happens click ok to get to next popup screen then click "ctrl-alt-delete"; open Task Manager, click on "Users"; right click on Msn Content and click "go to process"; you may see the file named "MSNImport.exe"; before clicking "end process", search c:\windows for MSNImport*.*; I found 2 files; one in the c:\windows and 1 in c:\windows\prefetch directories. I deleted these 2 files and then did "end process" in Task Manager; all is good; i did not have to restart in safemode or anything; I hope this comment can help others Thanks, Anon1000 from USA

i agree. i had trouble getting it off my computer and i tried all these methods yet none of them worked. the only way to do it is to run your computer in safe mode. to do this click start and then 'run'. type in 'msconfig' then hit enter. then a box comes up and click the tab 'boot.ini'. it will then restart your computer. then go to your C drive (C:) or(local disk) and then a folder called 'WINDOWS'. from here delete anything by the name of msn and you will be free of that evil plot. then when you go to shut down your computer chose to reboot as normal and it will give u an option to reboot back to before you even installed the damn thing in the first place. do this and then it's goodbye pop up. :D hope this helps tell me if you still have problems :D

ITS WORSE THAN AWFUL! NOTE TO ALL PEOPLE: READ COMMENTS B4 DOWNLOADING. I MADE THE MISTAKE BY NOT READING COMMENTS, AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO ME! MY MSN WOULDN'T OPEN AND THE POP-UPS CAME UP EVERY MINUTE OR SO! IF U WANT TO GET RID OF IT PRESS CTRL+ALT+DELETE AND GET RID OF ANYTHING THAT IS CALLED MSNAPPM.EXE. that should help, it did for me. it was a load of shit! out of 10 i give it -10,000,000.

Probably the worst piece of shit in the world. I deleted the 2 files it uses and removed it from MSConfig - I hope it dies in hell.

This programme is without a doubt the most annoying programme on the planet. If you are have problems uninstalling it press CONTROL ALT DELETE and delete any programmes that are MSNAPPM.EXE and thank god hopefully you will get some peace from this piece of shit like i have. i hope the people that created this programme rot in hell.

This this is the WORST piece of crap I've ever downloaded. The makers can rot in hell! I want this damn thing off my computer!

If you try to uninstall it, the program will be deleted in program files but programs called MSNImport.exe and msnappm.exe will stay in your windows folder. End these processes by pressing control-alt-delete. Then find them in windows and delete them, hopefully this will sort out the problem! If you don't the activation dialog box will keep on appearing!

Worst thing i coud have downloaded! U can't uninstall it! And that stupid activation key thing wont stop popping up every 5 minutes!!!

who the hell creates program that wont let u uninstall it. Unless ofcourse it falls under malware or spyware. And you website doesnt provide any clues on how to uninstall it as well. BAD!

Once downloaded, you can't get rid of it and it constantly shuts down the MSN Messenger. Even after it was properly uninstalled, it still has components or parts that let it run in the background causing havoc on other MSN applications.

I wouldn't bother with it. The uninstall doesn't work properly.

After install it, my friends like to chat with me more....
