Me and 2 other people decided to test this product. The three Pc Specs are Athlon FX 74 4 Gigs DDR2 Ram 800 Mhz 4 one gig sticks Dual NVIDIA 8800 GTX cards in SLI mode Comcasts 15 Megabit down 1 Mbit up per second service Other 2 pcs were the same thing Athlon 3800+ X2 64 Bit 2 Gigs of ram 400MHz 4 512 Gig sticks Nvidia 8800 GTS video card (only one each) Verizon FIOS We each started DLing Final Fantasy VII PC version from pirate bay for me Bitnova for one and and BT Junkie for the other. We each started our DLS at our homes at the same time and of course we were getting varied speeds. In the long run we all got the same result We started testing with utorrent I was getting 150 -170 DL and 80 UP After 40 Min Turned on BT Engine DL dropped to 120-140 turned off went back to my original speed after 20 Min of that speed. Repeated with Azurus This time there was no diff no changes in speed whatsoever. Reopened The half open TCP ports back to 100 and altered settings in the torrent programs back to 80. Once again same affect but i had higher speeds on both but still lower with BT Engine. And again same speeds with Azu. In the long run it didnt do a damn thing. for any of us. Hmm wonder if it helps with slower internet speeds. |
