Review by Phyllis Stendebach: I have 3 licenses. All are still beta 2. Developer was supposed to issue frequent updates to malware, etc scanned for. Auto updts rarely worked. Manual updating rarely worked. Downloading a fresh copy of the software worked. All of that said--program rescued an old Compaq 1.5Ghz as soon as I bought it and ran it. Review by Pete: Not really a free trial. After looking for spyware it says you must purchase it to remove the spyware it has found. It said it had found 61 infections on my computer, but once you look at its listing these 61 were realy only three. It had counted the multiple registry entries for each spyware as separte infections. As you cannot test it fully without purchase, then you canot really tell if you should use it or not. Have drive imaged and updated several times and the only program to update is spyware detector. Scan afterwards finds cydoor and a bunch of others. (1/5 - 17-Jun-2006) Review by Kim Rozell: Max Secure Spyware Detector found spyware that Webroot, Ad-Aware, and Spybot missed! I bought it and am very happy with it.
