Deleting Shareware

Review by Steve: I purchased several different programs that all claimed to wipe hard drives clean. I wiped each computer using a different program. Not only was WipeDrive one of the less expensive programs to buy, but it cleared my drive faster than the others, was more simple to operate, and when I ran a recovery program after the wipe, there was not a single recoverable file on the drive. With only one wipe, WipeDrive had overwritten my entire hard drive. The other programs required three or four overwrites to do the same quality work. I recommend WipeDrive above all other similar programs. (5/5 - 7-May-2008) Review by Brian: This is a really good product - all I had to do was purchase it online, download it, answer a few prompts and, in half an hour, my computer was wiped and ready to donate. I even took it and had it checked to make sure everything was gone, because I couldn't believe it could be that easy, but it was - everything was gone, just like I wanted. I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend this program, especially because you can use it more than once, unlike a lot of the competitors. I was apprehensive about purchasing, worried that I wouldn't be able to restore the computer, but the tech support staff explained what I needed to do and the directions on the program itself were easy enough to understand that I wasn't worried. The program only took about 40 minutes to run and did everything I needed it to. I was very impressed and would recommend it to anyone. (5/5 - 25-Jan-2008)
