Very limited capbility - can only handle one drive. No tech support -- phone number provided is fictitious. One job that is running has been going for over 24 hours. Crappy untested junk! When my hard drive would no longer boot I purchased the Hard Drive Mechanic to try and repair it myself. At first, I couldn't repair my PC and thought the program didn't work. After another try, the Hard Drive Mechanic found FAT errors and partition table damage. Thank God that it fixed the problems automatically because I don't know what I'm doing. The Drive Mechanic is guaranteed to work so I was going to just return it if I couldn't figure it out. Now that I know it works I am keeping it for next time I mess up my computer. Review by Anthony Dhanendran: Your computer's hard disk can be divided into partitions to make it easier to manage. HD Manager allows you to change and adjust these partitions to suit your purposes. Alternatively, if you have only one partition, you can use HD Manager to split it into two or more. Why would you want to do this? Suppose you wanted to give Linux a try without upsetting your existing system, or wanted to create a separate space to store music or video clips. Normally you would have to wipe the whole disk and start again from scratch, but HD Manager allows you to rearrange things while leaving everything else as it is. It has a simple enough menu system: you select the options you want, and tell it to apply the changes. Rebooting may be needed, in which ... (4/5 - 14-Mar-2005)

Review by ImageAnalyst: Pretty primitive. Can only wipe files. Can't wipe free space in disks, swap files, or slack spaces in files you want to keep. Also doesn't put an item in the popup context of Windows Explorer (when you right click). Bad English in program, and on web site (non-native English speakers wrote this). (2/5 - 8-May-2007)

Honestly, I planned on getting a refund after using it. In about 10 minutes, it scanned and repaired my crashed hard drive that was unreadable. For me, it turned out to be worth the $70.
