It installs unasked on a victims computer telling the victim needs to register to clean the spyware from its PC. We installed it on a clean fresh install that was tested with Hitmanpro. 20 minutes after installing errorsafe trouble started. It had found spyware that was'nt there before installing errorsafe... I hate it when programs are bord crossing lines. I searched on google for this so called error safe SW and I found at a number of people who claim they have had virus and various problems due to this software. Review by Tom Betress: I purchased Hard Drive Mechanic. I am a network engineer, teach in the computer science division at a college and have my own consulting business. I have come across many problems that appear to have no explanation for cause and sometimes no FIX either. I was working on a machine for a company that had a "hard drive crash". All their accounting information was on there with no backup. Couldn't access the drive no matter what utilities I tried. thought it was a gonner for sure. I tried Norton Util, MicroScope, etc., and no luck. At my local computer store Ind saw they had Hard Drive Mechanic, figured I had nothing to loose and my customer obviously couldn't be in any worst condition. Review by Nelson Ma: This software really worked well for me. My hard drive crashed and would no longer boot up. I figured I would try this drive mechanic software before I reformat the disk and loose all my data. I'm happy to say that my hard drive is back working and I was able to recover everything. The problem was a "damaged partition table" and crossed linked files.. or something like that. For anyone thinking about buying the hard drive mechanic... it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee.
