Very limited capbility - can only handle one drive. No tech support -- phone number provided is fictitious. One job that is running has been going for over 24 hours. Crappy untested junk! When my hard drive would no longer boot I purchased the Hard Drive Mechanic to try and repair it myself. At first, I couldn't repair my PC and thought the program didn't work. After another try, the Hard Drive Mechanic found FAT errors and partition table damage. Thank God that it fixed the problems automatically because I don't know what I'm doing. The Drive Mechanic is guaranteed to work so I was going to just return it if I couldn't figure it out. Now that I know it works I am keeping it for next time I mess up my computer. Review by lostshoe: It cleans the registry, finds junk files, etc. It is rather expensive however, but I would say the free trial is worth it, just for cleaning the registry and finding junk files. Review by Nelson Ma: This software really worked well for me. My hard drive crashed and would no longer boot up. I figured I would try this drive mechanic software before I reformat the disk and loose all my data. I'm happy to say that my hard drive is back working and I was able to recover everything. The problem was a "damaged partition table" and crossed linked files.. or something like that. For anyone thinking about buying the hard drive mechanic... it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. Review by KC: I downloaded and installed a trial version of Registry Mechanic and was rewarded with a slew of junk malware secretly installed on my PC. It took multiple scans using two different spyware apps to detect and clear out the crap. I have never experienced such an infestation; stay away! I have come across many problems that appear to have no explanation for cause and sometimes no FIX either. I was working on a machine for a company that had a "hard drive crash". All their accounting information was on there with no backup. Couldn't access the drive no matter what utilities I tried. thought it was a gonner for sure. I tried Norton Util, MicroScope, etc., and no luck.
