Review by fghfg: I an a network administrator at a small college. We needed to get a handle on how much our printers were being used and which students were using them. (the software also does chargeouts, but we haven't done this). The software was easy to set up - I put the client service on 8 of the servers that run the printers, then set them to send the printer logs back to the computer at my desk. A total of 21 printers. I have set it to email me out a summary of jobs done for that day automatically at midnight. If I have any critisism it is probably a lack of reports such as daily spread of jobs - but it has a data export so I just loaded it into Excel and did it from there. Review by DoctorLizardo: This app may be great for other uses than mine, but I've had nothing but trouble with it so far. I have a Dell Inspiron 600m running service pack 2. I wanted a simple and easy way to create (from Word docs) pdf files that are 4.18 X 6.88 (mass market size) for online submission. I was pretty excited to try this, as it looked very basic. (A "stick-shift" kind of app.) First, I tried using a Word doc that was set up to be 4.18 x 6.88, and printing (as described in the help) to the Solid Print app. This brought up the app, which had its own prefs. In those prefs I created a custom size page (4.18 x 6.88) and called it Mass Market, and then I saved the converted doc to pdf. The resulting pdf, however, was 4.01 x 6.93. Now since the online s... Review by Vijay: Before we downloaded this application,we had to physically sit infront of the printer,changing the layout for the different print jobs based on the kind of application like excel,pdf etc etc. One huge time saver.
