Review by Robert: We've been using this program on a Novell network for a few years now, and it's okay but unreliable. Looking for a better solution. Who's In crashes the moment there's any network hiccup and leaves the user marked "In". Limited presence sensing: only detects "locked" or "screen saver active". Uses Microsoft Access database back end, runs the interface executable over the network. File locks don't get released (probably Novell issue) and causes "too many active users" or "database locked by..." messages. With having offices in different countries, it allows staff at each location to know when people are in the office, lunch, etc. We have also integrated it into our Citrix Metaframe published desktop, allowing our telecommuters to keep track of the status of people they work with. We have easily upgraded the product at least four times to take advantage of new features that are routinely added. Our favorite features are "display photo" which allows a user to right click on a users name and display a picture of the person and "status tracking" so that we are alerted when that certain person we are waiting on r... The rule engine is brilliant - I tried out dozens of rules to test it, including clashes, and it was fail-safe! After using xsl-based rostering for some time, DRoster's layout comes as a refreshing, useful, interactive and more informative way of scheduling. I tried out the reports and found I could tap into data that has enabled me to roster more effectively. DRoster's reliability takes the strain out of sheduling.
