Review by Steve: I purchased several different programs that all claimed to wipe hard drives clean. I wiped each computer using a different program. Not only was WipeDrive one of the less expensive programs to buy, but it cleared my drive faster than the others, was more simple to operate, and when I ran a recovery program after the wipe, there was not a single recoverable file on the drive. With only one wipe, WipeDrive had overwritten my entire hard drive. The other programs required three or four overwrites to do the same quality work. I recommend WipeDrive above all other similar programs. (5/5 - 7-May-2008) Review by Brian: This is a really good product - all I had to do was purchase it online, download it, answer a few prompts and, in half an hour, my computer was wiped and ready to donate. I even took it and had it checked to make sure everything was gone, because I couldn't believe it could be that easy, but it was - everything was gone, just like I wanted. I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend this program, especially because you can use it more than once, unlike a lot of the competitors. I was apprehensive about purchasing, worried that I wouldn't be able to restore the computer, but the tech support staff explained what I needed to do and the directions on the program itself were easy enough to understand that I wasn't worried. Review by john j. lyons: I always counted on AOL for its reliability but now longer because it has become complacent and pushes products that I do not wish to pay for. This particularly frustrating when I want my Intenet foot pints cleared which it never does. It was my understanding that my privacy was a key factor in choosing Aol in the first place. Now I'm considering other carriers who can give a more consistent and reliable service free of intrusion into privacy. Thank you. (1/5 - 29-May-2008)
