Virus Removal Soft

Review by Dutch: I use this program on a daily basis for over a year. working in a public library I download 100s of programs to try out first on my computer before installing them elsewhere. this programs has completely protected me from some otherwise very nasty spyware adn viruses. All it took was a reboot and things were back as they were a month ago. Also a 'Deepfreeze' user, a similar program to shadowsurfer, I have had the blue screen of death appear with the last message before dying was from deepfrz.sys - shadow surfer has never given me any problems. infact it has saved my PCs, and my time. (5/5 - 11-Jun-2007) Review by Lol: Pros: This is an excellent Anti Virus, that runs smooth on my PC. It updates on default every hour, and apart from the icons in the system tray, you wouldnt know it was there. My browsing is fast, and my e-mail comes in being scanned equally as fast. I rate this alongside Nod, Kaspersky, etc, but at a much cheaper price. If you can prove that you are migrating from another Anti Virus-you get a massive discount as well! Dont be put off by a previous posters comment about the forum being all in Russian-there is an English "Question and Answers" section. Cons: The scan is a bit time consuming-but speed isnt everything. (5/5 - 18-May-2007)

Review by polarvista: every time I log into vista under a different user, an error pops up stating that only one instance of the AV can be run at a time. What's the use? I can't tell other users to make sure they shut it down when logging off!! If they don't then the next user is causing the system to be unprotected. other than this, the AV worked until last week when the update crashed system! cpu at 100%? used system restore to fix. errors pop up saying files in AV are corrupt and need updating? would like to get rid of it now but after reading the other posts, that might be a nightmare! (3/5 - 5-May-2008) Review by jklandin: I had the same problem and just figured out how to get rid of PC TOOLS. You have to install the latest version and then uninstall it right after. I checked all of c: to make sure it was completely gone and only found one other folder and it deleted fine. I hope it works foe you guys also. (2/5 - 4-Mar-2008) Review by Kate: I'm less than impressed. I just downloaded their software today and it interfered with my system immediately. It's almost mimicking a virus. My computer is shutting off without cause, when it does boot back up, I go to log in via windows and tells me it's unable to let me in, even as the administrator. There's nothing else on my computer to cause this, it's less than a month old and I haven't downloaded or installed any programs that are web based until today, and have had nothing but problems. It wont let me uninstall, it gives me a runtime error, and past that, when I called their customer service they were less than helpfull telling me I need to provide a screen shot, but I'm not hooked to wireless internet on my lap top which is ha... (2/5 - 13-May-2007) Review by Heatseeker1: it works. uninstalling it is a problem do. dont do that it does not work. my inter´net conection got permenetly blocked wen I uninstalld pc tools antivirus. had to do a system restor to get bote program and conection back. Working on findig a way to lose the prog and keep conection now. So dont try this untill they have inf on problems and solutions on the page. (2/5 - 4-May-2007)
